Bob, or “Uncle Bob,” as he’s familiarly known on the beach, has been a resident of Salmon Beach longer than most of his neighbors. In this interview, he talks about the history of his cabin (Cabin 62), his history building and living in an assortment of other cabins, and some of the aspects of Salmon Beach that he’s seen change over the years. This interview yields a particularly clear picture of what conditions at the beach were like in the early 1970s, and Bob’s also able to describe some of the technical achievements that construction at the beach entails.
