Doug Raynolds, 2014 (SBOH#009)

Doug is a fixture of south Salmon Beach, and lives just down the walk from his brother Kelly (see SBOH#003). At the same time, he’s a fairly recent arrival — he first began spending time at the beach in 1999. In this interview, he talks about his move from Colorado to the beach, about the historic cabin he owns on the south end of the beach, and about some of the attractive benefits of living amidst such  close community. He talks about some of the changes he’s seen in the beach community over the past decade or two, and briefly about the relations between the north and south beach.
